Bydgoszcz

I showed you Tarnowiec, it's only fair I also show Bydgoszcz, if anyone is interested. I stayed here for three weeks last year and posted more pictures in my old blog here, in the second half of the post.

More pictures to come.

Over the past few years the city has gotten more colorful. Recently they started insulating (or something like that) the apartment "bloki," and have repainted most of them, I think it's pretty cute:

And then here are some random photos around the city

One of the main streets, if you walk straight for about a half hour, you get to my Grandma's apartment. Behind me is Stare Miasto, "old city," which I suppose you could label the "touristy" part of Bydgoszcz. It's the main square, basically.

And then if you turn around a walk, you cross this bridge to the square. You can't see it very well on this photo, but there's a statue of a man on a line across the river. Better picture in last blog.

If you ever come to Poland, go here. Just...just go.

And then this is from the square.

Some random park walkway thing.

Ignore the lady looking right at the camera, I have no idea who she is. I was trying to take a picture of the kiosk without looking too much like a creep.

You ride these things a lot. Again, tried and failed to not look creepy.

Grandma's apartment.
